What influence can brain damage have on cognitive functions?

Caroline van Heugten, Professor of Clinical Neuropsychology

Our brain can be damaged by problems with blood supply (stroke), accidents and illnesses. Such damage can lead to disruption of important brain functions, such as our thinking. Which disorders can occur and what effect do they have on how we function in daily life?

This lecture is related to the demonstration ‘How do we measure cognitive functions in people with and without brain damage?’ by Rudolf Ponds, professor of medical psychology.
