Gravitational waves: the invisible messengers of the Universe

Gideon Koekoek, Assistant Professor of Gravitational Physics

Since Einstein, we have known that they exist and for some years now we have been able to measure them: gravitational waves, the invisible messengers of the Universe. Koekoek explains how we can measure them with the LIGO and Virgo detectors, and how these measurements have already solved many mysteries.
