Lysenko

Lysenko is playing “Five views on the land of the Gulag Archipelago”, by Victor Vlasov. The work expresses a broad spectrum of emotions: cruelty and despair, hopelessness and hope, hatred of the inhuman camp wardens and faith in the humaneness of mankind. Vlasov succeeds in transposing the content of “The Gulag Archipelago”, by author and political prisoner Solzhenitsyn, into the language of music.
