The Einstein Telescope

Gideon Koekoek, PhD
associate professor of theoretical physics

The Einstein Telescope is the next generation gravitational wave detector, slated to go into operation in 2035, potentially in South-Limburg. It will yield rapid and unprecedented measurements to the edges of the visible universe. In this talk, we will discuss gravitational waves, the working of the Einstein Telescope, and South-Limburg’s role in this revolutionary machine.
