Duo Dodekacorda gets its name from the ancient Greek Word for twelve (dodeka) and the Spanish Word for string (cuerda), hence becoming a wordplay on the basis that all the performed music originates from two guitars, combined twelve strings. Alejandro Balfagón and Kolja Gibbs will perform the programme “summer garden”. This name comes from Brazilian composer/guitarist Sergio Assad´s Summer Garden Suite. His music, combined with fitting soundscapes by C. Debussy, provides an evening of warm, playful and impressionistic sound colours, mixed together with the vibrant rhythms of Brazil.
