CoRoSect: Smart Insect Farming to Save Mankind

Rico Möckel
PhD, associate professor for cognitive robotics and intelligent systems & research director

Among the many challenges of our current and future generations is the question on how to produce food for over 9 billion people in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way. We present CoRoSect, a large-scale European project led by Maastricht University, which aims to boost environmentally friendly food production from insect proteins, developing state-of-the-art robotic technology for efficient insect farming.
